Weather protection for covered outdoor spaces — not an insulated room addition.

Frameless sliding glass enclosure around a covered outdoor seating area

European Engineering. Custom Fabrication in Colorado.

We source aluminum profiles and hardware from Europe, then custom-fabricate each enclosure here in Colorado. We cut, mill and powder-coat the profiles, order glass to your project’s exact dimensions, and assemble and install the finished system. Your glazing is made to fit your space — not the other way around.

For your Aurora home, we start with the opening and what happens around it: breakfast beside the garden, a table for friends, or a quiet seat after work. The design should keep those choices easy, with a clear route outside and a panel stack that does not dictate where your furniture belongs.

An enclosure that works with your home

A patio beside a kitchen door and a gazebo across the garden call for different layouts. For an attached space, we look at the path from the house, nearby windows and the position of the dining table. For a freestanding structure, access from the yard and the existing posts become the starting points. We measure the actual openings instead of selecting a standard kit first.

On a raised deck, glazing does not automatically replace a required guard or allow structural posts to be removed. We review those details, together with the route for carrying panels to the opening. Any supporting work is identified in the proposal, so the finished enclosure fits both your daily routine and the structure beneath it.

Sliding glass that stays within the opening

The panels roll on the bottom track while the upper track guides them. Each panel moves along its own parallel track line and overlaps with the others at one or both sides, depending on the layout. There is no outward folding action. The panel weight is carried below, not suspended from the patio roof.

You can open part of the run for ventilation or clear more of it when conditions allow. The available passage depends on the panel widths and stacking arrangement agreed during design. The panels remain in their tracks throughout the year, so seasonal removal and storage are not part of normal use. At handover, we demonstrate operation and the routine care the tracks need.

Check the address before planning an Aurora enclosure

Start by confirming that the property is within the City of Aurora and identifying the scope of the proposed work. Aurora’s Building Permit Center handles building-permit questions, while the City’s Codes & Rules resources include property information, zoning tools and links to the applicable regulations. An Aurora mailing address alone should not replace checking the property information.

Discuss the existing roof, deck or slab and the intended enclosure with the relevant staff before the design is finalized. We assist with glazing drawings and available system specifications, and identify permit responsibilities in the written scope. Any applicable HOA approval is a separate item to confirm. Approval decisions and review times remain with the reviewers, not with Glass Project.

Shelter from the weather, with realistic expectations

Closed panels help reduce exposure to wind-driven rain, blowing snow and windblown debris while keeping the view visible. They do not replace the roof or make the space completely airtight or watertight. Floor drainage and roof runoff still need to work properly; glass sides are not a repair for water collecting on an unsuitable base.

This is single-glazed weather protection rather than an insulated room. Sunshine, shade, ventilation and outdoor temperature all influence comfort. We discuss compatible glass options when solar control matters, without promising that ordinary glazing prevents fading or overheating. For everyday heated winter living, a different enclosure design may be the better fit.

From the first photos to your finished glass enclosure

Send a few photos of the opening, roof, floor and route from the yard, with approximate dimensions for the first conversation. Mention the openings you want to use most and anything that needs to stay, such as railings or a favorite seating position. At the free on-site visit, we take the measurements needed for design; rough dimensions are not used to order the final glass.

Your proposal explains the panel layout, glass specification, powder-coated finish and any preparation. After the signed agreement, 50% deposit and design confirmation, the profiles are cut, milled and powder-coated in Colorado, glass is ordered to the approved dimensions, and the system is assembled for installation. Typical lead time is 45 business days after the agreement and deposit, subject to the confirmed project schedule and required approvals.

We provide a 5-Year Product & Installation Warranty, with the exact coverage and terms in the written agreement. Installation concludes with a walk-through of the panels, opening positions and care instructions. You have a direct contact for questions afterwards, rather than having to work out how a custom system operates on your own.

The questions that set the specification

What would make this space easier to use?

Start with the everyday goal: a less exposed dining table, a clearer view from your favorite seat, or an easier route to the garden. We use that goal to plan the opening.

Where can the panels stack?

Panels overlap inside the opening. We confirm how much clear passage remains and keep doors, steps and furniture in mind rather than assuming every arrangement opens by the same amount.

Is the supporting surface ready?

The lower track needs suitable support and a level installation detail. We assess the deck or slab, drainage and fixing points before final glass sizes are ordered.

Which reviews apply to this address?

Confirm the property jurisdiction and the enclosure scope with the relevant building and planning staff. Tell us about any HOA requirements so they can be considered in the schedule.

What drives the scope

  • —Measured width and height of each opening
  • —Panel count, stacking direction and clear passage
  • —Glass specification and powder-coated profile finish
  • —Lower-track support, leveling, drainage and structural preparation
  • —Delivery access, drawings and required project reviews

When this is the wrong product

  • —A fully insulated bedroom or living-room addition
  • —A roofless space that needs overhead weather protection
  • —A project requiring a guaranteed indoor winter temperature

Common questions

Can you enclose my existing patio or deck in Aurora?

Often, if the roof or overhead frame, supporting surface and openings are suitable. We assess the structure, drainage and access on site, then identify any preparation before glass is ordered.

Do the panels slide or fold?

They slide along parallel tracks and overlap within the opening. The lower track supports the panels and the upper track guides them. The stacking arrangement and clear opening are confirmed during design.

Do you help with permits?

We assist with glazing drawings and available system documentation. For properties within the city, confirm the applicable building and zoning requirements with City of Aurora staff. Any HOA review should also be identified before the schedule is agreed.

Will this make my patio an insulated room?

No. It adds single-glazed weather protection, not an insulated building envelope. It does not guarantee an indoor temperature or a completely airtight or watertight space.

What is the lead time and warranty?

Typical lead time is 45 business days after the signed agreement and 50% deposit, subject to the confirmed schedule and required approvals. We provide a 5-Year Product & Installation Warranty under the written agreement.

Can you help when the supporting structure needs work?

Our focus is custom frameless glazing. Where construction or structural work is needed, we can discuss a separately defined scope with our licensed builder partner. It is not automatically included in every glazing proposal.
